John forged this chef knife out of 1095 steel. It has a cutting edge of 9.75" and overall length of 13". The knife is complemented with Burl wood and stainless pins. After forging, we clean up the blade and hand paint a resist. Then, we etch with acid. After the initial etching process, we dip it in coffee to etch out a little more to give it an awesome contrast.
